Yao Ming was lost to a season ending injury. That left gamblers questioning whether the Rockets could continue their winning ways. Houston has answered those critics by extending their winning streak to an astounding nineteen games.
The winning streak is one of the longest in the history of the NBA. Other teams that have had streaks this long, have gone on to win championships. That fact has not been lost on betting people.
The odds on the Rockets winning the NBA championship has dropped all the way to fifteen to one. Those odds are significantly lower that they were earlier in the season.
With the West as tough as it is, it will be hard for Houston to get out of the conference. It does not take away, however, from the magnificent show they have been putting on for the past few months.
